Kentucky WBB beats Georgia 78-64 on the road, moves to 16-1 (5-0 SEC) on the year

After returning home for the Auburn game, the Cats would begin another two-game road trip, with the first stop being in Athens, Georgia for a game against the Georgia Lady Bulldogs. Kentucky’s opponent came into this one under .500, looking for any glimmer of hope to try to gain momentum to round out SEC play.

However, Kentucky would take care of business on the road, beating Georgia 78-64 to move to 16-1 (5-0 SEC) in year one of the Kenny Brooks era.

The game begun, and immediately, Kentucky set themselves apart from the Lady Bulldogs. Behind 11 first quarter points from Georgia Amoore, the Cats got out to a 23-4 lead to end the first quarter. Kentucky started the game shooting 56% from the field, while Georgia shot just 6% to start out.

Amoore would finish the game with 24 points on 9-20 (5-12 3PT) shooting while also dishing out eight assists on the day.
