    Kentucky Gets Past Idaho State in NCAA Tournament First Round

    SAN ANTONIO – SEC Player of the Year Rhyne Howard had 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals as the fourth-seeded Kentucky women's basketball team beat 13th-seeded Idaho State 71-63 on Sunday in the first round of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.

    Senior guard Chasity Patterson added 14 points and three rebounds for the Cats, while junior Blair Green came off the bench to score 10 points. Dre'una Edwards had nine points and seven rebounds UK.

    Kentucky (18-8) advances to the second round and will face Iowa on Tuesday.

    I watched most of this game and I still wonder just how good this team could be if they played hard for the entire game on both ends. they fell behind, then took control and then once they had a good lead, relaxed, made some dumb fouls and their defense was bad. I'll be watching Tuesday, but they better play hard or Iowa will send them home. GO CATS!!!

      ^^^^ I'm with you Lighthouse: they can't play inconsistently against Iowa or else they are going HOME. Iowa has a sensational guard-Clark; she would win Freshmen of The Year if it wasn't for Paige Beckers (UCONN)...bet Clark will get the second highest votes. Lets go Cats
