Maryland Transfer Olivia Owens Chooses Kentucky

Matthew Mitchell continues to add talented pieces to the Kentucky women’s basketball program.

On Monday, Olivia Owens announced she is transferring to the University of Kentucky in a post to social media. “I trust the next chapter because I know the author,” Owens wrote on social media.

Owens, who spent the last two seasons at the University of Maryland, entered the transfer portal in March.

Amen. I know Mitchell likes the up & down game but the lack of size has certainly held the team back. They've been good but couldn't find the next level.

It's about time! Playing great defense and hitting shots from outside are very good for a team, but to get to the next level, you have to have size on both ends. Great pick up.
