    Fashion statement?

Could some of you that follow women's basketball please tell me what is going on with the shorts being rolled up or tucked up? I noticed it a year or so ago and now it seems to be going on with more and more players.
    Thanks

Nothing but a fad I'm sure. When my daughter played youth softball a few years ago zero of the girls wore socks that matched. These things come & go by the season.

It has been happening in men's BB for at least two years, just to a lesser degree.

I don’t watch women’s basketball but I have seen some men wear them like that. Fashion is cyclical though I can’t recall shorts being worn like that when I was younger. I have been seeing the acid wash denim on occasion. My Daughter was all about Sperry’s recently. Reminds me of the Eastland’s I used to wear all the time.

Basketball shorts for both men and women are continuously going through change. When I was playing they were always short. Then proceeded to be very long and baggy. Now it seems they are on their way back up.

When I was in my late teens and early 20's Bass Sportocasin shoes had an almost cult like following.

Bass Weejins! I had a pair when I was a kid because my Dad had some for years. You didn't misplace Dad's Weejins!

If I remember correctly, Weejuns were loafers. You can still buy them, although they're not made in Maine any longer. The Sportocasins were lace up shoes. They had a Scotch grain surface where the Weejuns were smooth leather. I don't believe the Sportocasins are produced any longer. I have two pair of Sportocasins (a black pair and a brown pair) that are about 35 years old but look almost new. I've had the soles and heels replaced down through the years, and I still wear them.
