Duquesne Coach Says Cats "One of the Most Talented Teams I've Seen"

With Cal giving Mulder more of Hawks minutes, maybe he is trying to avoid that WVU disaster. Nipping it in the bud early. Darnell Dodson had a rep as a shooter. Mulder, IMO, is a mucb better shooter and CAN be a force on defense. He is an athletic freak. Dodson could only shoot and was a terrible defender.

Cal talked quite a bit about Mulder last night on the coach's show. A caller from Canada phoned in to specially ask about Mulder, and Cal says he went to Dominique and told him that Mulder is going to get most of those minutes. (Not all.)

He says he was pretty impressed with the way Mulder played against Duquesne. I like him because not only can he shoot, he's super athletic. Cal says he had a problem last year of checking out of the game mentally if he missed a shot. Doesn't seem to be doing that this year.

Dominique has just never been able ot consistently hit those open jumpers.

I actually think this team can be as good as the '15 team. It doesn't have the depth, but it's better offensively, and can be as good defensively. That 15 team was overpowering on defense, but watching it play offense was painful, and by the end I wasn't sure that depth was necessary.

I would have loved to have seen these guards on that 2015 team. Or just pick two of the three,Fox,Briscoe or Monk. I think they would have given that team great quickness that they lacked at times. But still its hard to say much against an undefeated team or almost undefeated that is.

JJennings- that Wisconsin game still has me smh (I hate for folks to bring it back up) when I think about the last 4 minutes...so much so moving forward I always root against Wisconsin and not just in basketball! OOweee that 14/15 team was fun to watch-tall, long, dominating. I held on to footage for a year to go back to watch that team.
