The '96 Team is a Tad Upset

Or at least two of them are.

Nazr and Walter McCarty have sent tweets at Matt Jones asking him for a source after he claimed that there may be some sort of flap between that team and Cal. I don't know exactly what Jones said, but I would assume it has to do with a rumor that the '96 team for the most part wasn't coming back for BBM tonight even though they'd been invited.

It's always been believed that those guys were way closer to Pitino than Calipari, which makes sense. But I don't know if it goes any deeper than that for them. You would hope not.

Not all ex players can show up to something like this. Then other side could just be a rumor on his part trying to stir the pot abit and see what happens.

This comes on the heels of KAT playing there. I remember when they announced that game UL fans were up in arms they didn't mention Georgi Dieng. So then they had to include him in the radio spots. They may have well have said that Dr. Pepper guy. Nobody cares. KAT is the show.

It's because the 96 team (or at least a portion of it) are more loyal to Rick Pitino than UK. It's not exactly a secret.

Derek Anderson has been an outspoken critic of Cal's for years.
