Hold up. We said earlier that the guys on the current team are eligible, but they technically haven't "suited up" for UK. If Kanter and Kemp are ineligible for the same reason, shouldn't the new guys be, as well? Or should we allow Kemp and Kanter based on the same technicality?

Is there any doubt the new guys will be eligible? Also, we are drafting based on what they have accomplished and done for the University. Technically the freshmen this year have done zero. We aren't drafting on professional accomplishments or potential but what they have done in a Kentucky uniform. If someone wants to draft someone who has yet to put that uniform on so be it.

My exact thoughts on drafting Issel but everyone kind of acted like he was just so so because of how the game has changed....well, he's the all time leading scorer in the history of UK BBall!

Right. There will always be some debate due to the changes of the game, one and done, etc but there's no denying the numbers. That being said, if some of the guys we have had recently had stuck around he might not still hold the scoring record, but that's where the debate comes in.

I say that eligible players must have suited up at least one regular season game. Kemp, Kanter, and the incoming guys should be ineligible. We truly don't know what they could have done (or will do) for the program.

You can argue quite the contrary. Davis did more for the program than arguably anyone. Wall, Cousins, Towns, MKG, etc all belong in the conversation of all time greats for the school. It isn't a straight numbers only game, but the whole what if factor on people who never actually played a game just gets ridiculous because there are no facts at all.

Did they put on a UK uniform and play? That is what makes you eligible. Actually having minutes logged in a UK basketball game that is not an exhibition.
