    Tyler Ulis Named First-Team All-American

The AP has selected Ulis to its first team and Jamal Murray to its third.

Well deserved. For those that had him on 2nd team or later lists, I wonder if they even watch basketball. This guy is insanely good as a pure PG. He is the best PG I have seen since Chris Paul and the best I have seen in a UK uniform.

Just read on Twitter that Ulis is the shortest All American since 1953. Someone named Johnny O'Brien who played at Seattle was the last one shorter.
      Kentucky fan since 1971.

Was Ulis any good? I never really paid attention. Was he a good player?

He was okay but he was short. Probably too short to really contribute at a place like Kentucky.

But if you like short point guards he was alright. Short though. Very short and actually, if you want to know the honest truth, not very tall.

It'd been better if they'd picked someone with more passion with solid leadership values...........
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

Imagine how good he would have been if they had moved Brisco to the point and really let Ulis operate

A big knock on the kid has always been that he doesn't dribble enough. His dribble:stride ratio is unflattering and probably won't draw much favorable attention from NBA scouts.

Heard he lets his toenails grow out a little too long, too - though in his defense, it's probably so that he could reclassify to a larger shoe size. Every little bit helps.

He turned the ball over one or two times this season. Disappointing.

All jokes aside, one of the best point guards I've ever seen at Kentucky. Much deserved. Kudos.

Deserved, earned, leader. All these describe the best PG ever at Kentucky. And there's more words I can't think of.

Congratulations to both. You throw D. Johnson or maybe even Zimmerman and who knows what may have happened. Kentucky depended on Ulis and Murray to be on point each and every game and when cold shooting reared it's head, it was lights out over for the Cats. Lack of a post scorer really hurt this team when it counted in my opinion....

Good luck to both, my Celtics have a crap load of picks in this draft including 3 first rounders and a few second round choices as well. I say trade T. Rozier and a few others and RJ Hunter and replace them with both Ulis and Murray lol lol lol lol lol lol....

In reality, of all the players Cal has put in the NBA only James Young is a Celtic, ticks me off to be honest lol lol lol lol lol lol lol.
