    Coach K

After denying he said anything to the Oregon player, he now has issued an apology. Why lie about it???

He of all people should not be lecturing other coaches players

I think that's the first response with a lot of people.

I guess he forgot the kind of society we live in. Had he continued to deny it, then the haters would have really come out of the woodwork. Still, why even deny it in the first place? Coach K seems like a sore loser to me, but I would not have taken that shot if I was Brooks.

CBS released audio that confirms what the player said. How classy is it for a 60+ year old coach to go at a 20yr old for taking a late game shot. Seems like he could learn some things from the Oregon players.

Thats what you call a back handed compliment. He was irked about the loss and irked about a last shot. Just lose with class.

He got caught a lie and had no way out. So he released a sideways apology, and as expected, the pro-K media is ready to just let it die.

Which it probably should, honestly. Unnecessary, aggravating, but ultimately much ado about nothing.

If he had not lied about it I agree much ado about nothing.

We shouldn't be surprised, though. He's at the point in his career where he thinks he can get away with little lies to the media; and, frankly, if nothing else, this little controversy proves that he can.

It's different than Rick Pitino, who continuously gets away with humongous lies to everybody in his life.

Coach K learned from the best, his mentor, Bobby Knight. They were both very sore losers.

Exactly. I was just going to say, lets not forget who his mentor was.

                        Just this year:
Vs Bryant Luke Kennard shot a 3 with 18 seconds left up 38.
Vs Yale Brandon Ingram shot a 3 with 40 seconds left up 20.
Vs Elon Brennan Besser shot a 3 with 59 seconds left up 41.
Vs Long Beach State Matt Jones made a 3 with 8 seconds left to go up 22.
Vs Virginia Tech Matt Jones made a 3 with 10 seconds left to put Duke up 24.
Vs Florida State Grayson Allen shot a 3 with 20 seconds left up 15.
Vs Pittsburgh Luke Kennard shot a 3 with 30 seconds left up 16.

Sure hope these young men got a stern talking to for showing off.
