Biggest problem with NCAA punishments is that normally it's the kids that weren't involved that get the hit....sometimes the coaches are in the same boat, as in Williams getting the Kansas job and getting notice ...oh, yeah....you're on probation for the previous coach.

I actually have just as much grit in my craw for Syracuse as I do the Heels. I imagine I will feel much the same next year when I read about the Pitino led Cardinals.

I just heard from a friend in the NCAA enforcement office that a decision had been reached.

Due to the fantastic cooperation from UNC during this process it has been decided that Cleveland State will not be eligible for 2016-17 post season tournaments and will be on probation for a period of three years.

UNC will receive a had slap.

Good Q&A about the infractions and what's taking the NCAA so long. Gets into the fact that this definitely pertains to men's basketball in a major way; and I also liked this:

Q: Why hasn’t the NCAA ruled in this case?

A: The NCAA had sent its notice of allegations to UNC nearly 11 months ago. At that point, UNC had 90 days to respond. But shortly before that deadline, UNC told the NCAA new potential violations had been found. That stopped the clock until the NCAA responds to the new allegations.

Just let us go out and win a national championship, then you can punish us, lol.

Only Duke and Carolina would get treatment like that, imo. Anywhere else the NCAA dogs would have been in with an astonishing quickness.

UNC was basically kicking the can down the road. What the NCAA should have told them was if you want us to delay this and if any championships are won during this extra time then they will be forfeited. It will be interesting to see what the final outcome of all this will be.
