KSR compiled a list of UK players from 2000-2009 of what htey are dong now. There are a few unknown like Carruth and Jason Parker. Which doesn't surprise me when its hard track down someone who is in a drug induced stupor.

I imagine you could find him hanging out at a Hardee's in almost any town in Kentucky.
I had forgotten about Desmond Alllson being murdered in 2011. I don't remember any details about that at all now.
Also had no idea Kerry Benson had been killed in a car accident.
Shagari Alleyne a professional dancer. I just can't imagine that at all.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

I got a laugh out of this. Too good not to be true.

He got into a petty fight with one of his girlfriends outside of an apartment complex in Columbus, OH. Moments later, a couple of her relatives walked up and shot him in the chest.
Unfortunate end to one of my favorite Tubby players. Silky-smooth, athletic, and very talented. To this day, I contend that Tubby should've given him a second chance from his DUI. Apparently, he begged and begged and begged to Tubby, to no avail. The "zero-policy" mandate was lifted shortly after Allison transferred. I think he could've been an NBA journeyman if he would've stayed at UK. Shame, because after Kentucky, he really fell into the wrong crowd and his life sort've drifted away. I wonder if that's a regret of Tubby's to this day.Comment

Thanks I remember that now. Very unfortunate how his time ended at UK. UK had that zero tolerance policy because of the football players being killed in a DUI accident. I think this showed every action should be judged on its own.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

Well, two different levels of basketball. But I'm not sure he was a shadow necessarily: he averaged 11 and 13 points his first two years at WKU, 11 and 10 his last two years. Shot from three about the same through his four-year career. Looks like his sophomore year at WKU was his best, but I'd argue that he had a pretty good junior year.
I always liked him. I thought he played hard and was a pretty solid role guy. Julius Mays-esque. He was a starter and mainstay on a pretty good Elite Eight team his junior year. Things unraveled his senior season but that didn't only have to do with him.Comment

I do remember Sparks not having the same fitness level at UK. Maybe it was all those biscuits and gravy? I liked Sparks though. He had some awesome moments with us. His UL game and the walk that wasn't called, his 7 threes against Bama, and obviously that crazy 3 against Michigan St. In the Elite 8. I guess next time i am fishing in Muhlenberg County I need to visit the local Hardees.Isaiah 5:20Comment
