Watched a lot of the MTSU-Mich St game. I kept waiting for Izzo to pull a rabbit out of his hat, but not today. If I had filled out a bracket, it would be ruined with this game.

As I've stated before, I'm not a huge bb fan, but this has to be one of the most exciting tournaments I can recall. Upsets and near upsets abound.

This is Enes Kanter's brother, Kerem, playing for Green Bay.

Green Bay plays kind of like the old Rick Pitino teams. A lot of scrambling, a ton of threes, and they have Texas A&M pretty befuddled in the first half.

Michigan State upset was the first stunning upset. The others were half expected by a lot of people. It's one of the biggest since they started seeding teams. Indiana lost to Cleveland State one year and Syracuse lost to a 15 and lost to Richmond in the 80;s. Before they started seeding St. Josephs beat DePaul around 1981. DePaul was considered heavy favorites to win it all and been ranked number one all season. Most figured St. Joe's lucky to be in the tournament. That's the biggest one I have seen in all my years of viewing games.
Today is the anniversary of US Reed hitting a half court shot to beat UL in the NCAA's. I think that was in 1981 too. Maybe that is rubbing off on this tournament.
Pac 12 is going down in flames. I don't think anyone from there has won. Although Oregon will probably win. They are rolling early against Holy Cross.
They mentioned that Billy Kennedy has Parkinsons disease. I didn't know that at all. Terrible disease to have but I'm sure it can be managed better today. A&M is in a dogfight with Green Bay but are leading at the half. Green Bay is fun to watch. Play somewhat like those old Loyola Marymount teams.
With MTSU winning that means two double digit seeds will face each other,Syracuse. That Midwest Region will probably have someone crazy come out of it now.
          Kentucky fan since 1971.

Pitt once again gets into the NCAA Tournament and once again can't make any shots and once again goes home early. Rinse and repeat for seemingly the last two decades.

West Virginia down 8 now to Stephen F. Austin.

Jamie Dixon is just a mediocre coach. His hair doesn't help matters, either. Looks like a cobra.

I bet Pitt-Wisconsin was a real snooze fest......who gets into the NCAA tournament and only scores 16 points in the first half

It's an ugly game. SFA is more disciplined. Still, a metric ton of fouls. There hasn't been 90 seconds of play without a foul, it seems. 48 fouls in the game, thusfar.

Stephen F. Austin is going to beat West Virginia.

                        A 2, a 3, a 4, two 5s, and two 6s gone.

                        The Year of Cray-Cray continues.

That Walkup kid for SFA looks like he just walked off the set of The Revenant. He's a stone cold killer for a basketball player too. He was toying with WVA at the end of that game. SFA is a senior dominated team that is on a 21 game winning streak. They are going to be a tough out in this tournament. The bottom of the East bracket could look a little crazy like the entire Midwest.

Texas A&M cruised in their game. Looked like it was going to be a tough one for them. But they took control early in the 2nd half.

                              What a wild day.

I've had a hard time enjoying it, though, because the Indiana game is sitting in the back of my mind like a weight.

Just got back from the arena in St. Louis. Let me just say that not only did MTS beat MSU, but they looked good doing it. This wasn't a player being hot from 3pt and taking an underdog to victory. The whole team was impressive. Very few mistakes, shooting really well of course, and defended a taller MSU team.

At one point while MSU was mounting the comeback with under 8 minutes and under 4 minutes, Izzo was talking to a ref constantly, while his assistants talked to the team. Being in the arena we have no idea, but at some point they rolled a ladder out to the goal MSU was shooting at and start doing stuff to the rim. We have no idea if Izzo said something to cause this, nor do we know what they were doing. They were there for a minute or so. It was bizarre. The guy on the ladder was yanking on the rim enough to really move the backboard. Immediately after that, MSU hit a 3pt shot

Pretty crazy upset. BTW, I'd say St. Louis can't be happy that UK isn't here - the arena is 70% full.....I'd guess.

The Wisconsin game was painful to watch. Someone said the O/U was 131, 41 points off the total!
