Craziest thing about the Purdue/Little Rock game was that Purdue had won. Game was over.
Perfect illustration of why teams shouldn't go into the stall until under 2:00. Bad things almost always happen when coaches try to let the air out and kill the clock rather than just keep playing.
Especially when you have bad guards like Purdue had. Purdue has really good big men but no guards. I should have known better than to pick them. They never do well in the NCAA's. That goes back to the Gene Keady days too.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

Way overrated coach. He can't coach what he recruits. Never fit in at UK either. He complained last year about the Arizona fans because they were upset with them losing once again in the regionals. What would he do at UK with this fanbase? Most likely a disaster.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

I don't usually go off topic, but I wanted this to get some exposure plus it doesn't need it's own thread. My wife usually participates in the office pool where she works. They have a strange (to me) way of doing things. The participants get one point for each correct pick from the field of 32, two points from the Sweet 16, three for correct picks from the Elite Eight, four points for FF correct picks, five for getting the last two right and 10 for correctly picking the winner. The person that ends up with the most points wins the pot. Has anyone else ever heard of this method?Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Miller didn't have that talented of a team this year after what they lost from last year's team. I still think he should get a (hard) look. First-round losses happen when you don't have the talent to fireproof against it. Bill Self went through almost a half-decade where it kept happening to him.
Gregg Marshall has definitely moved way up on the wish list...but he also happens to have one of the best mid-major backcourts there ever was. That tends to help. And Baker and Van Vleet got seventeen years of eligibility on the Perry Ellis Plan, which was an added plus.Comment

I watched a little of the Dayton-Syracuse game early on. It was pretty ragged then.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment
