Outside the UCONN games Kentucky has gotten no breaks that I know of.

There was a time when Florida was playing the lower seed multiple times a tournament while Kentucky was going through gauntlets.

I tend to believe in the law of averages working out, so I do think we'll get a big break in the early rounds at some point. But on the other hand, Kentucky is also due to lay an egg at some point and take an early-round loss.

Yale's coach looks like Major Daniels from The Wire.

Don't agonize over it. I doubt if Duke will beat the winner of that game, no matter who it is.

Ark.-LR is hanging in with Purdue. Kansas is having an easy time of it with Austin Peay. Va. is moving on to the next round and Baylor is in trouble with Yale.

The 12 beating a 5 continues with Yale beating Baylor

Another 5 seed goes down to 12 seed. Little Rock beats Purdue

In double overtime. What an exciting game.

Craziest thing about the Purdue/Little Rock game was that Purdue had won. Game was over.

Perfect illustration of why teams shouldn't go into the stall until under 2:00. Bad things almost always happen when coaches try to let the air out and kill the clock rather than just keep playing.

Purdue did everything in their power to give that game away. Hammond half-assed a FT rebound and ALR got the rebound and hits a 3pt shot to cut it to 4 or something.....insane that Purdue went out of their way to lose. It happened last year in Yum as well. Horrible. I can't even imagine the amount of work it took to lose and I watched it.

Glad Purdue did go stall. Happy for ARK LR. Yale also did a GREAT job. Mocs are getting frustrated with the calls by the refs.

I came in with about 3:30 left in that Little Rock vs. Purdue game; Purdue was up by 13. It was the first tournament game I've gotten to watch and I decided to watch the rest of it. I'm glad I did. What a comeback. What a fun game to watch. Those kids played their hearts out. Those long 3s were exciting.

Purdue chronically fails to live up to its seeding in the tournament. Little Rock is the opposite. In 2011 they entered with the second worst record of any team and went to overtime in their first game before losing. In 1990 they lost to UNLV by 30, the same margin by which UNLV won their regional final and the national championship game against Duke, but they were a 16 seed. In 1989 they hung within 5 of Louisville as a 13 seed. In 1986 they upset 3 seed Notre Dame as a 14 seed. Plucky team.

Indiana a 5 and Chattanooga a 12. Could we see another upset??

I just realized that former Auburn standout Wes Flanigan is a Little Rock assistant coach...for now. Maybe bigger things are in store for him.

Also, I think Little Rock head coach Chris Beard has a couple of UK connections. He was the head coach at McMurry at the same time Hal Mumme was their head football coach. I think he was also on the Texas Tech staff that moved out to make way for Billy Gillispie.
