Maybe I'm missing something about this, but the link I posted says Thursday's game is on CBS.

If the game is on CBS then 85Fly likely won't be able to watch it on his cable box. He'll get the regional game in that same time slot.
Best way to circumvent that is to go to Mega March Madness and plug the laptop up to the TV.Comment

WCN fam I need your help- I see on the schedule we play at 6:40 (ET) on Thurs and channel states ESPN/SEC Network. I'm scrolling through my channels to set up the game to tape (it would come on approx. 3:30 PST time and I'm still at work) but I can't find it! I checked all my ESPN channels (including ESPNU) and the SEC network, nothing. I have cable (Xfinity) which is probably similar to Cox for those of you who have cable I can't find it? Are y'all finding it? Maybe information has not been updated and I'll see it later on this week...
Game is on CBS. None of the NCAA tournament is on ESPN. All games are on CBS,TNT,TBS or TruTV. Check your cable provider for the channel numbersKentucky fan since 1971.Comment

I was there in 2012 and toxic is a very good word for it. Had beer bottles thrown at me, people going to whip my a**, and countless suggestions of what I should go do with my sister. I have been in a lot of visitors arenas and have never experienced anything close to the level that IU fans stoop to. Given that and the mob scene after the game I totally agree with Cal an Mitch and would hope UK never sets foot in that hole again.
I think UK wanted the old neutral/neutral the way it used to be. Seems I remember Barnhart advocating for that publicly.
The environment was toxic in 2012. It's not like UK has dodged big-time programs. We go to UofL. We go to Chapel Hill. Went to the Phog this year.
I think the level of awfulness there in '12 kind of created a Never again mentality from the people who were there.Comment

Think they have it set up now with the 4 networks so that everyone gets every game.Comment

I wouldn't go so far as to say I would rather lose to Stony Brook. But I would prefer to never play IU again as well. Their fans are unlike anything I have ever saw. And I am surrounded by them, in fact married to one although she isn't a lunatic like a lot of them are. Would love to see Chattanooga dispose of them. I could take 10 losses to UL or Duke before 1 vs IU.For the record, and WAY in advance, I want to, again, state that I never want to play Indiana.
It's a "something for them, nothing for us" game, that we can only lose. Even if we win, it's "they were supposed to", and if we lose, it's the upset of the milllenium.
I am glad we don't play them, and I hope to live 99 years and never think we gave them the esteem of getting on the court with them.
I would rather lose to Stony Brook, than step on the floor with IU.
I won't feel differently if we win, and won't if they win.Comment

"Takes" are for criminals and film directors. This is conviction. Real conviction.
A loss to Stony Brook, while perhaps not a prestigious moment, is no different than an embarrassment to Auburn and a humiliation to Tennessee. An oddity likely to have been arrived at by a hot shooting night from them, and/or another less-than-stellar outing by our interior.
But, a loss to IU is lost esteem in the eyes of program peers, with the added side effect of lending them undeserved credibility. Just like in 2011-12.
It's a matter of opinion, but mine is absolutely firm on it. A game with IU is like arguing with a fool: They bring you down to their level, and then beat you with experience.
As the WOPR program "Joshua" from War Games so accurately framed it, "The only winning move is not to play."Comment

I believe you are right, to an extent. I know they have the games on CBS, TruTV, TBS, and one other. Maybe TNT. But that is only four and surely there are more than four games on at a time the first two days.Comment

This is breathtakingly stupid.

Kevin is exactly right - CBS was getting so much grief about regional games and switching to other games that the cry for "put the whole tourney on ESPN channels" was getting too loud. In the latest (or the one before it?) CBS bid some crazy amount of $$$ and had to promise to air all games - hence the TBS/TNT/TruTV concurrent games (along with CBS of course).
Of course those of us without cable are still SOL when a game isn't on CBS. But that would have been the case for ESPN solutions as well.Comment

You might want to note that the Final Four and Finals are on TBS this year. First time the finals haven't been on a network since the early 60's,IIRC.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

I agree. Someone may not like IU but its not like losing to a no name like Stony Brook. Sounds like some who tried to explain away losing to Middle Tenn back in 1982 so they wouldn't have to face UL in the next round. That to this day is still the most embarrasing loss I have seen UK have in a NCAA tournament game.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment
