    Tyler Ulis Appreciation Thread

Tyler Ulis just put on one of the greatest point guard performances I've ever seen. He's done it all year, but today was the best. The kid did it all - shots from the elbow, floaters, long range daggers, surgical maneuvering through traffic, timely steals, assist after assist... If there was a weakness then show me, because I'm going to have to do some research to find a better game by, at the very least, a Kentucky point guard (and maybe beyond that).

And, yes, if we weren't already convinced, today's game should stand as solid confirmation that the kid's gone after season's end. Gush about Ulis here. Send him Valentine's Day cards. Your daughter's phone number. Property rights. The kid deserves it all.

    ULIS. CATS.

He had a foolish cross-court pass that was picked off for a layup. There's your criticism.

Otherwise, it might've been the finest point guard performance I've ever seen from a player at Kentucky. Masterful.

The Li'l General was a Beast today. He did it all and gave his all. He deserves all the accolades he gets. Fun to watch him in surgery.

Yet some people think we should take the ball out of his hands...

Who thinks that? I've never heard anybody say such a ludicrous thing.

JWORLD said something to that effect a while back.

I am going to TRULY miss him, he's the perfect leader for the young recruits (I'm so excited about that team already!) coming in, but I get it. I bet there will be comments by us and the media about the difference in PG play next year.

He makes so few mistakes its shocking when he does make one like that one. Great performances all season. I was afraid one point this season he may have been wearing down but he's still gong strong. Its going take a Herculean effort from him and the rest of the team to win it all. Let's hope can have that kind of effort for six more games.

If Kemba can do it Ulis can. I think we have better players around him than UCONN had as well. That is not me saying we will win the whole thing, but it won't shock me if they make a run.

And we're definitely better than the Shabazz Napier team. I've no doubt about that.

I never thought Boogie would be bested as my favorite player from the Cal era. Ulis not only did that, but he is right behind Mash for me. The guy is special. He has a ton of heart and is the consumatte point guard. Has there ever been a guy that gets to the rack with his size? I can't think of one. Much Love to Tyler.

I only suggested Tyler play off ball some with Briscoe being a faciliator to Murray,Ulis, or Willis. Lord be hold, the great hall of fame coach John Calipari has actually tried this in spots this year. I never said take the ball out of his hands, i only suggested using him alah Brandon Knight style to hide Briscoe's inability to knock down a open jump shot and to utilize Briscoe's ability to blow by anyone anytime whenever he wants.....

It's funny how this **** gets twisted on here but oh well, who's the idiot???? You can take it up with John Calipari because he's actually been using Bricsoe more at the top with the ball in his hands................

It's really hard to zone Kentucky because Briscoe goes right into the middle of that zone and just starts to carve it up.

Really it's hard to guard Kentucky at all. I think this might be the best offensive team Cal has had at UK. The worst defensively.
