    The Jamal Murray "Tripping" incident

I just went back to watch the "Trip" by Jamal Murray of the LSU player. Upon Futher review. Quarterman looked down at Jamal's foot and made a point to kick Murray's foot to make it look like he'd been tripped. What a quality team and coach they have down at LSU.

Wondering if pretending to be tripped will be the new flopping.

Quarterman was mad because they were getting smoked and tried to initiate something. I thought the worst thing was Simmons in the post game saying Ulis isn't a better PG than Stefan Mooday and said Ulis gets all the calls. Whiner.

Wow really? Anyone blind can see what kind of player Ulis is.

Evidently the video has been removed.

Really! There have only been 3 #1 picks who haven't played in the NCAA Tournament. Make that 4.
Just read on ESPN that Simmons is ineligible for the Wooden Award because he didn't meet grade requirements.

Yeah, and when asked about why he is not a finalists on ESPN he said he did not know why. When the reporter pressed the issue by saying I heard it was for Academics Simmons said "Well they talk about playing ball and then put stipulations on qualifications", reported stated something about he is only there for 1 year and asked about him not caring about class work and he did not deny that. Then went on to say Wooden was a teacher so go figure.

Just shows the character of the player.

Simmons isn't relevant. Therefore, I don't waste my time and mental energy worrying about what he says or thinks.

The trip looked intentional, but was done very sneaky as to not look flagrant. But, the other player gave him a body check first, and deserved what he got and it was not during live action.. It was nothing like that Duke player who has been blatantly tripping players during the course of play.

It's at the 1:32 mark in the second half of last nights game.

The Simmons stuff after the game is about as bad as I've seen.

There are unspoken rules. One is that you don't call out players after you get your butt beat. Another is you don't call out the guy who's going to take home the SEC POY award and be a first-team AA when you're going to be in the NIT.

Anybody who watched LSU last year with that team knew this was going to happen. The guy can't coach a lick and he brought in a few babies on this team. Not a good combo.

Quarterman had no business walking between the two wildcat players. Whatever happened was his fault.

I don't know who votes for the SEC POY but if they look at the total package on and off the court Ulis is the winner. Wonder how many times the #1 draft pick didn't win his conference's POY?

Simmons is a special player. He will most likely be the 1st pick int he draft. I don't think any awards, for his freshman year in college while he is waiting to start his pro career, really matters in the big scheme of things. I saw one fast break, where he went coast to coast. He looked like a cheetah going down the floor. He reminded me of Dwight Anderson stuffed into a forward's body.
