Undersized but Undeterred: Tyler Ulis Leads Resurgent Kentucky

Great article about Ulis's friend in Chicago, some of his strange personality quirks, and the ungodly dominance we've seen from him this season.

Great read. Though the writer was misinformed a few times- Tyler starting the Breakfast Club, for one- it nailed his toughness and determination that we have known for two years now. Ulis has over taken Demarcus Cousins as my favorite player from the Cal era. He is in my Top 5 favorite UK players ever. He is without a doubt the best PG I have seen here since I started to remember Wildcat teams since 1978. You can't show me a player more important to their team as Tyler is to ours. Yeah, he isn't as flashy of a PG as Wall, but that doesn't lessen his importance. He is the consummate PG. He is our MVP. If he isn't in the running for National POY then it is a crime.

        Great read,
I have been following the Cats for over 40 years... I have kind of been on the fence between Macy and Ulis as to who was the better PG.
That ended with the South Carolina game...
Ulis is the best I have ever seen !

Tyler is definitely in my top 3 but I think time has away of making us forget how much we loved other players too. Chuck Hayes is still very high on my all time list. Who can not love him for those tears on Senior day?

Tyler Ulis reminds me in so many ways of Chris Paul. He's tough, has great vision, good shooter, and possesses the intangibles of a leader. I know he's a couple inches smaller and his shot is a little pushy instead of from over his head, but he is a kid that really deserves a long future playing basketball if I ever saw one.

He'll have a tough time in the nba getting his shot off where he shoots it from so low, but his floater is a thing of beauty. If a guy like Isaiah Thomas for the Celts can learn to play that small in the league and be an impact player, I hope Ulis can too.

We're lucky to be able to call him a Cat.

There's no doubt in my mind that Tyler Ulis will be a factor in the NBA. He will have issues, especially on defense, but he's as tough as nails and he's the toughest 5'9" player I've ever seen.
