Who's back next year. Hearing from a good source

Word coming in is that both Labissiere and Briscoe will be coming back next year. Cal wants to beef up Skal and fix Isaiah's shot. If he can do that, they will make gobs more money. Bolden still in the mix though.n the mix though.

No. Just this so far. Word should be coming on Hawkins (scholarship or walk on) and on Lee. Have not heard anything else yet. One report I heard on Lee is that if he is going in the 2nd round he is gone. (Trap if you ask me). Look at Marquis Estill, he thought he was going in the 2nd round. If he would have come back year 2 he would have been an NBA guy.

I hope your source is really good, BC. I doubt if either Skal or Briscoe returns next season. That's just my opinion, though.

Not sure where Briscoe is going to go unless he wants to test the second round. He's the rare player that I think would make a mistake if he left, because he could really improve himself if he showed he could shoot.

I'm a little more doubtful of the Skal rumors simply because the more he stays, the more bad habits he could show and the more he'd slip down. He's still going to be a borderline lottery/first round guy, so not sure coming back would be a great decision. But like Briscoe he's one of those players who COULD improve his stock if he got stronger, but he could also destroy his stock. Tough gamble.

If it were me, i am the same as you. I would not think there is a snowballs chance in Aruba of either coming back. This person 9 times out of 10 is correct.

I usually do not post this kind of thing. But he is extremely confident. Like I said nobody is 100% on these things but hopefully he is correct.

Odd 2nd person now saying they have heard the same rumor. Do not know this 2nd guy so do not know what to think on this. There is some smoke to this.

I'm all in on this. The bigs we have coming in next year will eat Skal's lunch. Best thing for him to do is leave quickly. IF Briscoe is smart, he comes back next year. Guy can't hit a freakin free throw to save his own life.

No way Skal stays imo but he has a long ways to go no matter the choice. Briscoe would be gone too if he could shoot just a little. If he works on the mid-range game and FT's, I think he might get drafted in the first round in 2017. He should really think about giving up the 3-Pt shot then concentrate on driving and dishing like Tyler.

Expect Briscoe to stay, expect Skal to go.

                        We shall see.

If a team or teams sees potential, then Briscoe is probably gone. He can work on his shortcomings in the D League and get paid for doing so. At this point, though, it's all purely speculation, which is what fans do best.

It seems like I read somewhere that a pro scout said Briscoe was playing out of position at UK and would be OK in the pros at his normal position.

I know its been said but talking about these guys going pro because they wont get better or maybe a scout sees their potential just kills me. I wish some of these guys would see the value not only in a college education but the college experience. I understand if you are a lottery pick maybe you don't need a college education but risking 2nd round or over seas just seems like a good reason to stay. I know they dream about the NBA but but being young and have those experiences as a young person cannot be bought. Preaching to the choir I know.
