We got a tough stretch of games to end the season. Play like they did today and there will be no worries. This was the best win of the season imo.

Had to listen to the game today because my wife's getting ready for a valentine's dance at church. Maybe I need to listen from here on.

Thought Cal's comment yesterday about not letting Frank Martin "bully him" was odd. May have been some bad blood that lead to Cal's meltdown. But mostly I think he was determined to not let Michael Carrera get away with dirty play, and the early over-the-back that wasn't called (that Pratt went crazy about on the radio) set Cal off. Then Sirmons didn't handle it well, and things got out of control.

Cal probably knew the only way they could win that game was to get away with a lot of cheap stuff.

I've read on numerous occassions that Cal and Martin are good friends. Martin did say after the game that Cal seemed on edge. That he's mostly joking pre-game but today he was all business like. Having an official like Sirmons, it's easy to see how the blood could boil.

I chalked it up to freedom of speech.

This is not directed at Mr. Dillon, as I am sure he is wiser and smarter than me.

But this is an Internet-nitpick for me. Our FOS allows us to speak without the worry of being arrested/detained by the government.

Everywhere else there are repercussions. Crazzed is dealing with the repercussions of his speech here.

On that note, I wanted to post that today was a great game, but part of me wonders what the outcome would have been had Cal pulled up just shy of getting the 2nd T.

Does Cal need to get thrown out of a few road games to inspire the team?

We'd started to get quite a few complaints from members about crazzed. That was the issue.

I liked him as a poster if he could keep the negativity out. Knew his stuff. Was a constant member here, and God knows we need those.

But there is absolutely no need to try and find negativity. He was one of the few posters I've ever seen on any board who could be negative when the team won.

That isn't right, and we'd warned him about it again and again. (As well as about insulting the players.) We wouldn't tolerate that from opposing fans and when our own fans start to do it it starts to grate on people if it's relentless. And crazzed was relentlessly negative.

The mod team here isn't Draconian at all UNLESS you've been warned. Then the posting style has to change. That isn't an infringement on freedom of speech, that's just common courtesy.

Well said Will. We warned him multiple times that no name calling is allowed on WCN. He just wouldn't listen. This site is different from most because of the difference, and we had a lot of PM complaints from current posters.

You know I had that thought as well. But then again, we have been playing good lately and Cal's teams seem to always turn it on this time of year.

Had to record the game and just finished watching it. Did this team just go on the road and destroy a team by near 30 points without Calipari and Poythrees? ?? This team is hard to figure,at times can play like the best team in the country. ....Great win, hope Alex is back soon. ...

I was as hard on Crazzed as anyone. I liked him most of the time, I enjoyed his inside information, and his educated opinion on things. As we all know he just dug for negatives, almost to the extent that ESPN does for stats. Some of those "the first time at home this team did this since 2004 in this amount of time while wearing this color" stats that make you wonder how in the world they figured it out. He is a very passionate fan who has the bad habit of channeling that passion in the wrong direction. I have been a member of this board a little over 10 years and I can say the mods do a terrific job. I say that with no bias as I don't know any of them outside of the internet, and I have had at least two incidents I can think of. Not to the point where I worried if I was getting banned, but enough to make me realize that people don't know me here so they might not understand my sense of humor, sarcasm isn't always as effective online as it is in person, and we should all know that name calling or attacking individuals is really uncalled for and immature. I know this board has been lacking members who are consistently around, at least from when I first joined, but you can only let things go on for so long.

That being said, I think we may need to start Lee and Seal with 3 fouls each because the best defense either has played all year was when they were afraid of fouling. I know players with their length and athleticism have a hard time adjusting to the fact that they can't block everything in college like they did in high school, but Lee should know better by now. Skal is 7 foot, just stand straight up big fella!
