    Poythress hurt in pre-game warmups

How in the hell does this team have so many pre-game incidents?

From Matt Jones: Alex Poythress seemed a little gimpy earlier and is not warming up currently with the team

    Great! We don't need this.

Cal said after the game that he actually was not hurt in warm-ups but that the knee had been bothering him.

            Yeah.

The knee has been bothering him for awhile now. They're doing x-rays today to figure out what's going on.

Let's hope there's no ligament damage. We obviously can't afford a loss down low, let alone our lone senior.

He tweaked it way back in the Arizona State game after finishing on a fast break and landing funny. It was classified a hyperextension and it has been bothering him off and on since. Hopefully it's nothing big. Maybe gets aggravated and inflamed sometimes or something like that. Probably just needs rest and regular treatment. I would not be opposed to resting him against Georgia too (if we could be guaranteed Ulis and Murray would give a repeat performance lol)

              Hoping for the best...

That's great news. We won't need him for Georgia tomorrow, but South Carolina is another matter.

If there is any issues with his knee, I would hold him out of tomorrow nights game.
