    Kentucky/Kansas to Get ESPN's GameDay

    Not surprising.

If Kentucky plays we well as they did this past week they'll have a chance. If they revert to their Auburn selves it'll get hairy.

    Figured they would....

Gonna have to bring their A game to keep it interesting.

I said earlier in the year we would lose by 30 at Kansas, I still feel we can but also feel we could win. I dont think I have ever felt this way simultaneously about any UK team.

Same here. Definitely a mixed bag of emotions this season. I still feel we lose this one no matter how good we play. Kansas has a good frontcourt. We are getting better but not so much where I could possibly see us holding our own at Kansas.

Of course it will be the GameDay. Why wouldn't it be?

I just hope we compete in this one. I won't be angry in the slightest if we go there and lose in a tight contest. I just don't want to get curb-stomped on that big of a national stage.

^ Same thoughts here. Again, no repeat of the Dickie-V "where's the pride"-fest in 2006. That stunk mightily.

Kansas isn't an awe-inspiring team. Good team, one of the best two or three in this field, but not the sort of bulldozer that last year's field had in UK, Duke, Wisconsin and maybe a couple of others.

What they do though is let teams hang around and just put on the gas late. They kind of stick to their stuff and knock you out in the last 10 minutes. I've watched them three or four times against just average teams at home; it's usually a game until a few minutes left, then they really stretch the lead out. Usually they'll hit two or three threes in a row and it'll be game over.

But this game will be different in that there'll be an intensity in the building from the tip. GameDay, what happened last year...Kentucky will have to match their intensity or it could balloon up to 20 or so.

The one thing that gives me hope about this is that Cal has been stressing making winning plays toward the end and I think they have been listening. I am nervous already.

I'm not conceding a loss or anything. As I've said like everybody here I'm not into moral victories when it comes to UK basketball.

But I don't think many Kentucky teams of the last three decades could go into the Phog and bring out a win against a team like Kansas has. '96 could, last year could, '12 probably could, the Suffocats might've if the game would have been played late in the year...road wins are brutal in this sport to get even against just average competition.

This thing is going to be hard. We could play the game of the year for us, hit 10 or so threes, have Ulis play like he always does, and still come out of there with a loss. Such is life on the road. It's just a different animal.

We're going to have four or five of these tough road games left, which is why we really needed to beat Ohio St. and frigging Auburn. That we didn't makes these tolerable losses sting.

I think we are going to get worked a la UCLA.

                    I'll hope for the best.

A lot of college analyst looking forward to this match-up. My opinion- it depends which UK team shows up...its a pick-em. Maybe we will look to this game as our "Super Bowl" and play accordingly.

I know what you are trying to say but I hate the thought of us thinking anyone is our super bowl.

We have a habit of playing to our competition. Let's hope it holds true Saturday. We know Ulis will be good and with Murray the bigger the stage the bigger the performance. We might see one of those games we get at Rupp where one guy lights us up but we still win. Murray might light up Kansas with 35 but we still lose.

Was hoping that would not happen. KU was going to ready anyway but having a week to think about a loss will only make them moreso..
