They're 30-11 and leading the Eastern Conference.

    What the heck?

They fired Blatt, but immediately promoted Tyrone Liu to head coach with a multi-year deal.

No potential for Cal rumors to even get started.

But... if a coach has the third best record in the NBA, the best in his conference, a shoo-in for the Finals for the second year in a row, and is prepping to coach the East All Stars and STILL gets fired on his day off in the middle of the regular season, no one is safe.

LeBron claims that he heard of this news on Twitter like everyone else, but I call bullshit. LeGM made the call, like he does about everything else, and Gilbert just bends over and takes it.

LeBron didn't like Blatt. That was all that mattered about that firing.

If they hadn't offered Lue, this would not have been a great situation for Kentucky because I think Cal would have jumped at the chance to coach LeBron. That being said, thankfully we don't have to worry about it one bit.

Why would any coach want to coach a spoiled brat like LeBron? Sure he and Cal are friends, but that can only go so far if the coach wants to coach instead of following LeBron's instructions.

If you were a millionaire coach that was over the hump and could sense the end of your career, would you really want to live in Cleveland, OH?

This is nothing new for superstar NBA players. Magic got rid of Paul Westhead. Jordan got rid of Doug Collins. Those two worked out. We will see if this one does or not.

I would venture to guess that he's closer to the end of his career than he is to the beginning.
