We got 22 and 11 combined from Lee, Poythress, and Skal. Again, we don't need a ton from any of them, just mediocrity from them as a group and we can be a dangerous team with Ulis running the show and Murray being a ticking time bomb.

I didn't get to watch the game because of work but I listened to what I could. If we get that kind of effort from the frontcourt then we will be fine. Our guards didn't seem to shoot it very well so we needed that welcome addition. I'm really loving the play of Willis these last two games. He's playing hard and producing and we are a better team for it. Skal is slowly getting it. I can see it. We don't need these guys to be world beaters. Just keep the opposing team honest because we have been very easy to guard lately.

Someone pointed it out this morning, the Cal and Anderson handshake was a little odd. Someone said Anderson was mad yelling down at the UK bench towards the end of the game, i dont know.

Limiting Arkansas to 2-12 shooting from the threes was very impressive. I don't think Arkansas got more than two good looks all night from the three area. I'll take 11 and three every game from Skal. Not great numbers but much better than what we have seen. Willis is starting to turn into this seasons Josh Harrelson. He could be the difference in this team having a good tournament run. This team could be coming together. We will know much more after Saturdays game against a very good Vandy team.

Not sure Anderson has ever been a big Kentucky fan. Nolan Richardson swore a UK fan shot his horse, so you know some of that disdain was passed down to Anderson.

Anderson has never been no more than Richardson's lackey. Never liked either one of them. Both have always been jealous of UK's success and couldn't enjoy their own success because of that huge chip on their shoulders.

So true. When anyone allows feelings, bad or good, about anyone or anything to take over their lives, they become a slave to their own selves. I want to enjoy my life without being in bondage to someone's success. You could tell Anderson didn't have his team prepared for us. I guess he just expected us to play like we did at Auburn.

The team came in focused and played hard. Good defense for the most part,and got some needed help offensively from Skal and Willis. Good win.

I was wondering if anyone noticed that too, maybe Cal was saying "Monk" as he was walking towards him.

Cal alluded to something he may have said during the game that got Anderson riled up. I would say it goes even deeper than that.

Early in the game there were a few missed calls that might (I said MIGHT) have helped Arkansas stop the bleeding. It is irrelevant whether the calls were missed or not and whether they would have helped or not. A coach that is losing is going to fixate on that like salt in a wound. If that was his perception, and being on their home court, might have made for some added unhappiness.

Nah, seems like it's no big deal, especially since they both let it be known they apologized. Kudos to both for going beyond, "no comment" when asked about it.
