I'm glad this is his last year. Good guy and a good athlete, but he's not a good basketball player. He's been nothing but inconsistent throughout his collegiate career.

I'm with you Katmendo. It's pretty obvious that we will go as far as the frontcourt takes us. And it's also VERYobvious that it isn't very far. We are a Sweet 16 team at best. For the life of me I don't see how very few can see that. Take off the Big Blue Goggles and see it for what it is. It's called being a realist. We are gonna get and have got some of tose years. When you have CRAZY turnover every year, you better not miss on recruits. To me it's obvious that this team has a few of those. That's not a knock on the guys. I mean, I just hate it when the facts get in the way.

Keep in mind that the 2013-14 team had 11 losses. We'll make the tournament.

I think we make the NCAA Tourney, I think this year above most over the past 10 years or so is a match up thing when it comes to the tourney. If we get a WVU, Baylor, Utah, Clemson or a few others we will be out quick.

For those that think we won't make it...there was a time when I woulda wanted A LOT of what you are smoking!

Tonight is much closer to who we really are, imo.

Guards go 16-52. Uh, that is awful. But they never could shoot so not totally shocking. Not going to win on the road shooting bricks.

People upset with Lee and Poythress....this is who they are. You think that is going to change?

Kudos to Willis for taking the critical pounding he got and doing something about it,

The only thing that will shock me is if we actually win a road game from here on out. We are not going to beat A&M or USC. Kansas will be a record breaker loss, Vandy, UT, Ark, are up in the air and possible to likely losses. We will drop a game at Rupp probably.

I see 10-11 losses going into the SECT possibly. Going to be tough. 8-9 seed if we are fortunate. Hopefully, we drop out of the rankings, I think that may take some of the pressure off of them and make relax.

This is the other side of the Ky Effect. The OAD effect. Likely to happen again in 2 years. But as they say, it beats the alternative.

If it sounds like I have given up....ok. I guess I do somewhat. We are not relevant this year. In fact, we are regressing. We are literally worse in mid Jan than we were in Nov. That's not a good thing. Every bad game that happens makes last year sting worse. Leaving that title on the table still hurts and winning it would make this an "oh well" season.

My hope is that we become the spoiler and make a little noise in March. Our ceiling is very low. But with a little luck....

I'm not sifting through what I assume (hope I'm wrong) is a lot of vitriol to see if it's been discussed, but Tyler Ullis almost had a triple double, which is absolutely incredible. This guy deserves a run at a title, and I hope he gets it before he's done at Kentucky. Amazing player. Glad he's a Cat.

Really bad loss. I was away and haven't really all the posts but I'm sure everybody has pretty much the same thoughts.

One interesting thing is how bad defensively we've been the last two games in the last 10 minutes. Can't guard anybody. It's like we just wilt. Auburn got into a groove during the time of the game when you have to bear down and win.

Really, really average team we lost to today with the injuries they have. And "average" is being generous.

Team's kind of a mess right now and I don't think we have the horses to really do anything much about it. As Bob says, best we can hope for is that we can play a kind of spoiler role and win a game or two in March. That's probably the ceiling.

Who would have thought, in Nov., that, in Jan., some would be content with just making the Big Dance?

When it was clear what kind of player that Skal was and that Poythress hadn't really improved, it was obvious this team was going to have to have a lot of luck to do much of anything.

Skal being way behind was something nobody saw coming, but it's a huge deal. Last year's team was going to be very good regardless, but imagine if Karl Towns came in and was a project. Or Anthony Davis.

It would have drastically changed those teams. When you lose so many to the draft everybody has to be ready to contribute at a high level.

I had my concerns about Skal before the season, but those were concerns that were matchup/situational concerns about his physical presence. I can't imagine ANYONE expected the kid to be a completely empty uniform.

Poythress, we've been fools about. It was true before and it's true now; Alex Poythress is a gifted academic first, and basketball player second. It was a clarion call of foretelling when he made the "courage doesn't always roar" statement.
