    Oklahoma vs Kansas

Did anyone else watch that? My goodness. That was hands down one of, if not the best basketball games I have ever watched. Both teams came back from large deficits, both had good coaching moments, and both had stars with big games. Kansas won 109 to 106 in the third overtime. Hield is ridiculous and had 46, 8, and 7. He was very efficient only taking around 20 shots. But he also had some terribly timed turnovers and cost them a few shots at winning the game. He might be one of the worst passing guards when it comes to kicking it out of the lane after driving. I think we actually match up pretty well with Kansas, but they have the better bench. It was a heck of a game.

I watched it. Great game. I think Oklahoma beats them at home when they play again and it won't go three overtimes.

Too late for me but it did look like one heckuva game. I'm sure Vitale was off the wall by the end of this one. Now down to two unbeatens, SMU and South Carolina. Also Virginia lost to Virginia Tech last night in a big upset.
      Kentucky fan since 1971.

Kicking myself. Didn't watch but had fully planned on it. Ended up falling asleep ridiculously early.

Good for the sport of college basketball that it went down like that. The highlights for this thing are unreal.

Those two teams might meet up for the national title in April. Lon Kruger probably doesn't get enough credit nationally for the kind of coach he is.

Don't watch much basketball, except for Kentucky men's program. I don't even watch the NCAA tourney games, if UK is not in the game.

Use to like the NBA, when Dr J played and liked the rivalry between the Celtics and the Lakers with Bird and Magic in the finals.

Easily one of the best games I have saw.I was really high on Oklahoma at the start of the year and am more impressed each time I see them play. They really should have won this game. Cousins had a terrible game and they missed a free throw at the end of regulation that would have won it. Agree that Kruger is a really good coach, not in the top tier but probably the next level. Diallo barely saw the floor for KU. Im guessing 5 minutes tops and he did absolutely nothing when he was in. Looks like another top recruit who is really struggling.

I think if we're not careful we're going to get really handled in that game. Not one I'm looking forward to to be honest.

But it's a tall order to ask of any team to go into Lawrence and get a W. Not even UK's best teams would've found that easy.

Which makes what Oklahoma did last night that much more impressive.

I Agree, Kansas is easily a top 5 team. Perry Ellis is really good. I would expect a loss there, just hoping its not a blowout loss.

Which is amazing considering he's 47 years old.

Has there ever been a guy in college who looked as old as that guy?

Did anyone catch the early game and see the show Brice Johnson put on? 39 points and 23 rebounds.

                        Wow. I didn't see that.

Denzel Valentine in November, Diamond Stone, Johnson, Hield...been a pretty amazing year for the individual performance so far.

I can only guess that the reason for that is that the rule changes have opened up the game so that some of these players can operate more freely.

I'm convinced Oden had something genetically wrong with him. His whole face didn't make any sense.

I'm pretty sure Billy Gillispie recruited Perry Ellis, and I'm not joking.

Don't forget Simmons. He has had some ridiculous games as well. My first thought was that I hope he doesn't have another one of those tonight but on second thought maybe its better to just concede a big game to him and focus on shutting everyone else down.
