I have a question for ya that I've always wanted an answer to. Why doesn't the player get an assist if the player they pass it to gets fouled, doesn't make the shot, but makes free throws?

Example: I pass it to you, you take one step and go up for a layup, get fouled, miss the layup, then make two free throws.
