Some of that is the competition Duke has played. I think Sienna and Bryant are in the 275 plus in rpi rankings. UK has play Albany which is in the top 100 and i think NJIT is in the top 110 or something like that. Much different talent level. I hope we take care of the ball tomorrow night but only time will tell.

Who guards Allen? Can't believe I am asking that as I think he is a little dweeb, but he has shown the ability to score a lot.

Ulis may not be able to handle him, I think Briscoe can probably do it but then who does Tyler guard? Jones? If so, he has about 7-8 inches on Tyler so I am not sure how that would work.

I thought Jones and Allen were both 6'5 guards?

I was wondering if either Jones or Allen could handle the pressure from Tyler. Hope he is a waterbug tomorrow night, just all over the floor on defense.

Poythress lit up Duke in ATL three years ago, looked like lotto pick. Cal: "He's had a good career. Now it's time to be great."

Believe they'll try to run different looks at Allen. I think Ulis will have him at the start but when Thornton plays I think we'll see Briscoe on him.

Cal says that Willis will draw Ingram.

UK owns the historical edge, but in my lifetime (35 years) it has been an absolute owning K and Co have put on UK.

Some really good games in the series. Duke has won a lot of close games going back to '79. Even the game in 2013 was an exciting game to watch. My wife and I were there live and it felt like Kentucky had a shot all the way through, just didn't have enough.

The 2001 game where Jay Williams went off and Dawg Carruth had his coming-out party is one that's completely forgotten now but it was an unbelievable game.

Defense will win this game, I'm not sure we can score with them.

And if we don't cut our TO's and Fouls in half from what they have been the first two games, EJ is gonna be playing by the end.

Plumlee is not a very good player. Strong, plays hard, but just average. A role player. Skal is transcendent and is going to be one of the best offensive players in the country. Kentucky has the advantage all day down there...again, unless Skal is just afraid or he gets a couple of cheap ones, and both are possible.

No matter what the lineups are...this bunch of new Cats will have a "growing up" party tomorrow. Hope they grow up quickly. The 1st few minutes is all they will be allowed to have growing pains Who EVER likes to lose to Duke?

They breed them on Duke's campus.

I am not worried about his skill as much as his physicality. Plumlee is experienced and knows how to use his size. Skal is still learning and has shown signs of weakness. Skal will still get his, but I think we see more of him catching the ball outside the post because he doesn't have the fundamentals to back down a bigger and stronger player. Skal definitely has more skill, but this is the first game, probably in his life, that he will be up against a bigger, stronger, older, and more fundamentally sound opponent. It will be one of two things: A game he uses the tape all season or a game Skal shows us he is worthy of a top three pick. I think he has the chance to thrive in this game as it will be fast paced, but it will be interesting to see how he handles the adversity going against a guy who has a few advantages over him.

I think they'll move him around with Plumlee and try to get Plumlee out of his comfort zone. Skal might catch the ball early on the block to see if he can get a quick foul, but as the game goes on he'll be more in the mid-post or at the foul line where he was Saturday.

Thing to watch with Skal is that he's so untraditional that he's going to have "off nights" like a guard has off nights. Some of those shots he was hitting the other night were low-percentage looks. You can't sustain 76% if that's where you're living. The thing for him is that when he has those nights he'll have to rebound better than he has and be more of a nuisance on defense.

Offensively he's further ahead than any big we've seen at UK including Cousins.
