I'm sure Pomeroy will have some information on the change (Pomeroy has argued for years that the shot clock should be lower), but it would be hard to quantify what the newfound offense is really about. Could be about the new "freedom of movement" rules.

I haven't been able to watch too much college basketball yet outside UK, but it does look like they're really calling things like hand-checking and those moving screens. So they're making an effort. All good things for the game over the long run.
