We didn't look awesome against Albany but let's not forget, one of our best players wasn't able to go. I feel sorry for the team trying to slow down and contain Ulis, Murray, and Briscoe. Briscoe is that NY city guard that can get to the rim any time he wants.

And that's a good thing as long as he doesn't go too fast and out of control. I'm looking forward to watching that trio.

I think he's head and shoulders above Archie Goodwin at getting to the rim Main thing for Briscoe is to learn how to hit his freethrows. If he can't hitem from the charity stripe, it's a huge problem. With Lee and Briscoe at the line, i think our late game lineup will be Ulis, Murray, Willis, Poythrees, and Skal..........

The 2013 team would've been okay if Harrow hadn't have been a headcase, if Archie didn't want to take on the whole world on every fast break, if Poythress would have been ready to consistently contribute, if Mays hadn't been 5'10" and couldn't touch the backboard, and if Nerlens hadn't blown his knee out.
This team is unusual for Cal's teams. Closest cousin is the Brandon Knight team. Going to be some lumps as they learn how to play together and figure things out, but I think our guardplay is WAY more advanced than 2013. That alone should fireproof us against any kind of disaster.
