Trent Noah best player at practice

    Sounds familiar.
"The valley don't stay low forever." Is the Mountain Mamba ready for a bounce-back campaign at Kentucky? He's apparently been the best player.

Last season I went hoarse yelling at the TV every time he was open in the corner and they threw the the ball to the other side of the court. Maybe this year he'll get fed the ball and have a chance to shoot.

LOL....that's exactly what I thought as soon as I saw the headline. I thought "well that's deja vu....I'm pretty sure they said the exact same thing LAST year!"

He is a great shooter, just needs confidence at game time. He also hustles his butt off as much as anyone on last years team

If Noah is the best player on this squad, we are probably in trouble. Love his heart and he can shoot, but he should be 11th or 12th man on this squad at best. If we see a lot of Noah or Potter this season, it either means we are winning big and they are getting a lot of mop up minutes or we got crushed by injuries yet again. Nothing against them, but they aren’t here to play big roles and big minutes.

I try to make mostly positive comments, but I agree with this. I would love more than anything for Noah to become a star, but if he's the best player now on this team, there's a good chance we will have a very tough year.

I will just take it as he had a good day. Most players have that day along the way. You just have it going that day.

I know his parents and grandparents. Would love for him to hit his stride and be a player that makes this team even better. Definitely has great genes in his bloodline.

I think before he is thru at UK he can become a serviceable player and contribute in a significant manner. He has stayed when he could have left and still gives 100%.
i played BB with his grandfather in high school who later played FB at UK SO I KNOW HE HAS THE GENES AND is true blue.

Noah doesn’t have to be the next Mash or AD. He will never be the go-to-guy, but he could be the next Cameron Mills. He’s about the same level of athleticism as Cam. And there is nothing wrong with him playing that role. He can come off the bench and instantly draw the defenses attention with his shooting and hustle. Make them work. He’s never going to be a shutdown defender. He’s probably always going to be a defensive liability. But that’s okay. He can still be an important role player. A shooter off the bench. That is what he can be. And as a Kentucky boy, he can become a legend here just by hitting a big shot or two over the next two or three years. Heck, Farmer got his name in the rafters. Noah is a better player, IMHO.

I agree, I don’t think Givens meant to imply that Noah would be a starter this year or next..
