I think most SEC schools would care more about football than basketball. We're the anomaly in the conference there. UofL fans here in Ashland are few and far between. We see a lot of Ohio State people due to our proximity to Ohio. Most Ohio State fans I encounter care more about the SEC and the "bias" more than we do. It is kind of funny.
With the roster set now, what's the minimum expectation?

He's going to win 63% of the games. We won't play defense or rebound. We will be unprepared in most games. Untimely substitutions will be the norm. Some game will just be a no show. And other games the team will just quit. Play on Wednesday of the SEC, Thursday at best. Won't make it past the first weekend of the NCAA tournament.
Pretty much a normal Pope season. If anyone gets hurt then it will be worse.
If Pope gets another year based on that then the next season will be the same.Comment

It sounds as if you're expecting this season to be a carbon copy of last although this team should be much better. He's going to win 63% of the games. We won't play defense or rebound. While it should absolutely not happen, I kind of am afraid it could. I hope not. I want the guy to succeed. And on paper, the team with Milan looks pretty solid. The team last year did too. But losing Lowe and JQ never making it (what a bad gamble) derailed what could have been something much better. A little luck on the health side of things would be a huge help. He's going to win 63% of the games. We won't play defense or rebound. We will be unprepared in most games. That was pretty much all I saw. It was a Twitter post and I think I saw it somewhere else that day as well. Just said UK had been in contact or offered. I guess he'd played at Georgia 2 years ago and then put up pretty good numbers in some European league this past year. I think it was 15 points and 4 Assists. Might nothing to it.Comment

It is smoke. Do we have a new Wildcat, will it be white or black smoke? We shall see.

Don’t know why “quote” isn’t working…
On the potential addition…
Sounds like he has some potential, but once again, I am not big on international guys.
But he probably won’t be counted on to do much this season with Diallo, Wilkins, and Morton around. If he is good enough to steal minutes from proven D1 starters, then that’s a good thing for us.
So I’d take him, if the price is right.Comment

I’m really interested to see where this guy fits, if he comes here.
I assume he is going to be part of the rotation. I am guessing he’s Diallo’s primary backup.
So Diallo, Wilkins, Drezgic, and Morton as the backcourt rotation.
Then Momcilovic, K. Williams, McBride, and N’Diaye as the forward rotation.
Moreno and Kepnang as the Center rotation.
That looks like to me that Pope doesn’t really trust Hawthorne to be in the rotation. All these other guys are older guys. Even N’Diaye, who is technically a Freshman, is older.
I guess someone could redshirt, but with the five in five rule set to pass, is there any point in redshirting, since these guys will get to play five years, regardless?
Trying to wrap my head around it. From a fans standpoint, though, it’s the more the merrier. The more quality players you have the better the competition in practice which means the team as a whole should prosper, as long as there are no chemistry issues and everyone is a good teammate and excepts their roles regardless of how small it might be.Comment
