June 7th will be their last day as a daily sports bar. They had a 8 year run and are supposedly partnering with another restaurant to be open on game days for Basketball and Football this fall.

Went a couple of times never made it for a game day but food was decent atmosphere was all Kentucky. Shocked a KY themed sport bar can’t make it in Lexington.Comment

I feel the exact same way that you do. Funny thing is, though, I actually prefer to see him and Ryan Lemond over the kids (Jack Pilgrim and co.) on these KSR videos....I can do without their "attempts" to be funny and giggly and going off-topic and making the vids longer than they need to be.Comment

I've been there 2 or 3 times in passing through Lexington. Service was a little slow, and the times I went it wasn't that busy in there. Never met any of the KSR People, outside of Shannon the Dude who was at one of my Aunt's wedding, he couldn't have been nicer. Overall their wings were always good but make sure you had time to spare when you went. Never want to see a business fail or close though.Comment

I think any place that is very one team-centric can struggle if the team's product is lacking. I'm sure they were hurt for business on days after a UK loss. Maybe not as much football as that's just a different dynamic (depending on the team they lost to) but basketball definitely. I'm guilty of putting my UK hat out of plain sight for a couple days after a crappy loss. Think same probably goes for a sports bar with UK stuff all over the place.
I only went twice. Wings were good but as others have stated, it was pretty slow both times. One time was for a Florida basketball game so I didn't really care if it was slow. I do remember there seemed to be like 100 hostesses there for some reason and most weren't doing anything but playing UNO around that barrel at the entrance.Last edited by NCCat; 3 weeks ago.👍 1Comment

Went four times. Was dragged there 3 of the 4. Food was garbage every time. Tried something different each time, obviously. They closed once to redo a crappy menu and reopened with a crappier menu. My buddy ordered wings twice and said they sucked twice. The closest they got to being edible was my first trip with DenCat and Dave, but not close enough.
WCN had dealings back in the day with KSR. They attended several tailgates and even did a couple remotes and promotions with us. So we knew Matt, Hubby, and Drew very well. We talked with Drew & Hubby at the restaurant a couple times each. Very likeable guys every time we were around them.
Dave and I have been to some of their remotes and I always preferred those over the ones at KSBar. Better food, by far. Don't wish bad on them, but I will not miss that restaurant in the slightest.People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.
