I went to a few Indiana Pacers games back in the 90s. They were pretty entertaining, but the game has changed a lot since then. I think much of the entertainment now is carried by the extraneous stuff that the arena does and not so much the basketball that's being played.

At one time I liked the NBA as much, if not more, than college basketball. I've been to some Pacers games in person in the early 90s and early 2000s...they were fun and a great live experience.. In the 80s and 90s the NBA was close to being my favorite sport....but between the time of "The Decision" (2010), and half a dozen years later when Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant both retired (2016), my interest REALLY dropped off. These days, I hardly keep up with it and barely watch.👍 1Comment

Not sure what you're seeing, but he has far from textbook form on his shot. I didn't call it a jumper because his feet don't really leave the ground ...more like he rises up on his tippy toes. He shoots a "jumper" almost flat footed, like every player shoots a free throw. And his legs (at least one of them) is a little bowed in. It's awkward looking. So he has some work to do, in that regard.I know it sucks JQ and the drama, who knows if he could play or not?
One thing I do know, his offense isn't there yet but at some point he will be able to shoot the basketball pretty decent in my opinion, he doesn't have that funky big man form shooting the ball, that will serve him well next level.
We'll have to disagree there. Before Kemp got injured and was relegated to bench duty with his minutes severely reduced the last 4 or 5 years of his 14 year NBA career, he was a high teens scorer, even averaging 20 PPG over the course of a year or two. He retired averaging over 14 and a half PPG, and that was with the reduced role and playing time his last handful of years. I'm not seeing that type of offensive potential out of JQ....so we'll have to disagree on that one.Comment
