Our guard pick ups are probably the only thing keeping me on the ledge and not jumping yet, lol. I am intrigued with a Diallo and Wilkins combo. Fingers crossed the redshirt year for Hawthorne was worth it and he comes to ball next season.

Definitely need Hawthorne to step up. Still really need a low post threat, if Moreno does in fact stay in the draft.

Are there any other guys testing the draft that would be worth a look? It seems I've mostly just been hearing about these two. Options seem to be getting very limited for what we need next season.

Slight update. Read on another board that UK is still in the running for Croatian big man Michael Ruzic (6’11, 220, 19 years old). Sounds like UK or BYU.

Coach Pope is in a darned if he does and darned if he doesn't situation. If he moves on and signs a Center and then Moreno doesn't stay in the draft and plays for one of our rivals next season and helps beat us people will be saying he should have waited on Moreno. On the other hand, if he waits and Moreno stays in the draft people will be saying he should have moved on. I'm really glad it's a decision I don't have to make.

I've been busy at work (ahem) so I checked out 6 different mock draft websites to see where they had Moreno & Momcilovic picked. FWIW, taking the "experts" predictions with a grain of salt, Moreno's avg pick was 37 (high 29/low 43) & Momcilovic was 39 (high 34/low 42) It doesn't solve anything, but one would think both players would return to college. Just depends on how soon they want to play in the NBA and nobody knows but them.

By the way, Graves avg pick was around 21

If Pope is actively recruiting Ruzic (pronounced Roo-zich), that tells me that he's either: A) convinced that Moreno is staying in the draft, or B) is perhaps using leverage to get Moreno to commit one way or the other. Perhaps Pope has learned from waiting around for these guys and missing out on other options.

Go back and read my comment a little more closely. I said

So you basically agreed with me. I know, I know... it's tough to give my comments a like or quote them and agree with them (since nearly every time someone quotes me they want to argue), but essentially you just agreed with what I said.
