I don't necessarily align with Andy on a lot of things and his original "calling out" had other motivations. But, he was right about Mitch in this case and I'll give him credit.

I agree. I don't agree with Beshear on much of anything, but in the case of Barnhardt and that ridiculous post-retirement $950K annual salary he had set himself up with, he was right to call him out on that (and the results were admirable)

So glad this was made a big deal by a few people when it first happened and made it's way up the ladder. It's criminal what was being done. I would applaud any governor for doing this.

Yep, gotta give credit where it's due. I don't like Beshear at all, and I don't like that his chiming in was politically motivated because of the law dean, but it got results and that's what matters. The sweetheart Mitch deal was absolute garbage.

Agree that needed to be addressed and was. But the ironic thing is a Gov gets 30% of their salary or $49,000.00 a year at retirement. This is for a 4 year or 8 year term. Now that is a non working totally retired amount. Mitch was going to have a so called position (Lol) for his money.

If you ask me a Gov should not have that type of retirement for 4 years of servitude. Public service pays well.
