Jelavic played in Adriatic League, which might be a BIT weaker than Italy's Serie A league but neither is a top tier European league. Jelavic and Ndiaye had similar stats in similar playing time in not-too-different leagues. One year prior, Ndiaye played in the Spanish league (best in Europe) and in the Euro League (all the best clubs in Europe) and got limited playing time. I read a scouting report on him, apparently he didn't start playing basketball as young as many prospects and he's got the physical ability and the skills but lacks experience and decision making. NBA prospect if he can put it together. But he is already 22, and just had somewhat of a breakout season in the Italian league. Feels like a gamble to me - could come over and be no better than Jelavic, could blow up and be a really nice player.
