I really hope so ... because if we don't at least get Freeman (and hopefully Stokes)... our roster might look something like this:

PG- Diallo / Wilkins / Mason Williams
SG- Wilkins / Cox / Kam Williams?
SF- Kam Williams / Noah / Hawthorne
PF - McBride / Kam Williams / Noah / Devin Williams
C - Moreno / Devin Williams / Potter

Something like that might be anywhere from a 9 to an 11 seed in the tournament. Hope that ain't it.

Kansas is striking out a lot it seems. Does no one want to play with Stokes? If Stokes does "the unthinkable"and joins his former teammate Diallo at UK like he should... Things would get ugly for KU. Self might retire on the spot.

It looks like McBride might be our best backup 4 option. If he's the starter, though...

247Sports lists Momcilovic as a Power Forward, even though he's really a Small Forward. Still, I'd love to have him... and if that meant we had a lineup like

I'm gonna sound like a hater for saying this, but I don't care...

Otega is more of a last resort than first option to me. Reason being.....he was the lead dog last year, and we saw how well that played out. He's more of a Robin that was forced into the role of playing Batman. And when he's in that position, he plays pretty selfishly.

Now...if we land Freeman and Stokes OR Momcilovic.... and Wilkins is fine coming off the bench as the primary backup for both guard spots... and Otega accepts the role of teammate trying to win a title....then I'd be perfectly fine with that! A lineup like

PG - Diallo/Wilkins/M. Williams
SG - Oweh/Wilkins/Noah
SF - Stokes or Momcilovic/K. Williams/Noah/Hawthorne
PF - Freeman/McBride/K. Williams
C - Moreno/D. Williams/Potter

My grandfather who has dementia said who is Donnie Freeman, then said he was 45% certain he'll commit today, take that for what it's worth.

Thanks for understanding and the sentiment.

No, that's fine.....I just think people misunderstand the disease, that's all. It's nothing anybody asks for or wants and nothing that I would wish on anybody. I had to care for my mom the last few years and it was debilitating and frustrating to her. She was aware that something was wrong and it was frustrating for her because she couldn't do anything about it. Medication and proper diet/protein intake is about all that can be done to help but unfortunately there's no cure.

Anyway, it was just 4 weeks ago that she passed so I'm new to dealing with it. It's all good, though.
