The three we really need to retain are Chandler, Moreno, and Williams.

Need to get a stud PG and PF. Preferably a stretch 4. Don’t see us getting any impact Freshmen in this cycle.

Then get some role players on the cheap to fill in the blanks. Get some guys that fit Pope’s system (skilled shooters and passers).

I don’t see us getting Pate and even if we did, he probably won’t be eligible due to the new proposed rule.

Expectations are changing. Portal / Transfer stuff has the whole of college basketball in a volatile state. I do not see Colin Chandler being a starter at the 2 and i do not see Williams be the starter at the 3. They both might be on the team but if we are starting both of those guys it will be another long year.

They both might be on the team but if we are starting both of those guys it will be another long year.

Were not even into the portal yet and there are 100s of guys in the portal and several really good PF and Center positions let alone 10 or so guards that are better than CC has been in 2 years. I like CC. But he is not a starter as he cannot blow by just about anyone in the power 4. Yes he blew by some of the early games and such but not much after getting into the meat of the schedule. He can get you 10 to 15 points but so can tons of guys in the portal and they can help open the offense.

Who is going to be the first Coach or program to go out buy an entire new roster and win a title? I believe someone will do it. There’s so many good players in the portal you have to get some studs obviously but more important pieces that fit together and work together. Can Pope do it at Kentucky? He can but doubtful he will.

If told they aren't expected to be starters, I'd say both will leave.

Not really surprising. I think most of us suspected that as being part of the problem. I'm somewhat disappointed that Lowe would behave this way though.

I wish someone would just spill the beans on this past season. Can’t blame any of the guys for wanting a new start, can’t blame Pope if he’s telling some guys thanks for your time here, but look elsewhere.
