Well, at least AR got slaughtered

Watched about 1/3 of their game last night. Much better talent than UK'S team, but still displayed a lot of the same traits: only M2M defense even though AZ continued to get great looks every time down the floor, never called a TO when AZ would go on a run, relied on Acuuf, who is a stud, to break down the defense pretty much every trip down the floor.

I do have to give them some credit; ran a beautiful inbounds play under the basket for an easy layup vs the lazy pass to the corner that we saw at UK.

Cal had the same 'WTF is going on' expression during the 2nd half that we all came to love when he coached here.

I may not watch any more of the tourney but I was very happy AR got bombed out. S16 is better than UK's season, but couldn't stand the thought that Cal might make the FF.

AZ did hit a ton of shots. Just from what I saw, though, it seemed AZ consistently got to the rim or had open jumpers. Certainly, they hit a higher percentage than I would expect, but many of them were catch, gather and take a nice stroke. They were really effective at spreading out AR's M2M and then driving to the rim.

Even after his tenure here, I found myself asking myself why Cal isn't calling a TO or switching up defenses or maybe 1/2 court press or something to break AZ's rhythm. Then, I went, 'Oh, yeah...Cal'.

I doubt Cal ever makes another FF.

I'm happy every time Arkansas loses at this point.

A dry rub is effective and tasty.
Crusher of eggshells... apparently. I dunno.

I think that came from what Pope had to say on his call in show regarding the "progress" UK has made over the last 4 years. If there's one thing about Cal, it's he can't let that kind of stuff go.

Cal should be worrying about why his team got their butt kicked last night

Nobody wasted more talent than him and Dean Smith

You knew Cal was going say something on Popes comments, just funny he had to address it after a 20 pt S16 beat down. If I was an Ark fan I’d be pretty ticked off that he said that, at that time.

We can be mad at Cal all we want but he's just spitting facts. He may not be the best coach but he fully understands the business side of it all, he has for years.

This ain't as easy as we think it is, especially now with even the small schools throwing around a lot of money..

We are in a different era of college basketball these days. The best programs aren't always going to get the best players with all the money floating around, players may not stick around to actually develop for the future, players are more stubborn with a pocket full of money in their pocket. The list goes on and on....

Again, in a perfect world, I was actually hopeful Cal would have turned it around at Kentucky until he retired then stepped into that GM role and kept recruiting players to Kentucky for another coach to coach.

I suppose in the end, MB had a better deal with the boosters and decision makers behind it all and that's where it all went to crap.

It's not college anymore, it's more like a franchise, can we be the leading franchise in the game and a desirable destination?

As for Arizona, that is a strong team if anyone has watched this year, they check every box. They may lose next game but the only thing I was surprised with was how bad they beat Arkansas.

When it comes to recruiting, name someone better?

On the court his old school ways don't work but off the court, name someone who's recruited the best of the best more than Calipari the last 20 years????

                              I will wait!!!!!

                              Thing is,he don't beg either.

Still, as I mentioned, he would be a Pat Riley style GM in college, dude Still knows how to sell..
