JQs IMPACT ON THE TEAM THIS YEAR

I was just wondering if JQ MIGHT HAVE HAD A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON THE TEAM THIS SEASON. The guy probably made more money in NIL than anyone else and did not play or required to practice
in light of all the speculation that he could have played but decided to sit the season out when his dad got involved.
If all this were true and i was a player, it would stick in my craw a little.

I know I'm in a very small minority....but I never was all that excited about him coming to Kentucky this year in the first place. I know most fans get all excited about McDonald's AA who are 5 star recruits.... it's kind of a "bragging rights" kind of thing. But watching video of JQ didn't inspire me. I saw a guy with freakish intangibles (i.e. - wing span) and freakish athleticism....but was very raw when it came to skill, particularly on the offensive end. I won't be upset if he leaves, and not only that, if I'm totally honest I might be a little upset if he actually returns.

I would like to think stuff like that wouldn’t impact the season, but these are very young men; now with millions and millions of dollars involved

Without him, we probably would have lost to St John's. That's about the only positive thing I can say about him. I wish well in recovering from his injury, but frankly, Pope shouldn't have let him sit on the bench if he wasn't going to play.

If he was truly injured and couldn't go then he is just as much a part of the team as Zach Tow or Walker Horn. If not, then we just got Shaedon Sharped again...

His dad didn’t like how Pope was using him. And the knee started swelling right after that comment went on twitter.

            weak sauce. We got fleeced.

Yesterday Dan Issel said that JQ was the dissapointment and questions whether he was holding out and is curious as to how his medical exams come out when he goes to the combine.

Legendary Kentucky player Dan Issel believes BBN should be upset with Jayden Quaintance if they are going to be upset with anyone.

If his swelling of the knee and medical concerns were legit, then I have no hard feelings against the kid.......but, if he was just laying out, then I may sound petty but I really hope he doesn't sniff the lottery. If draft workouts begin and he is perfectly fine and that still doesn't raise a flag to GM's then that is there fault. He's setting the stage to be a player that will only care about himself and if he has an issue with how he is being coached will just play the "injured" card.

Again, if the swelling is legit then I take it all back, sad part is we will never know the real truth so the initials JQ will never be a good memory for any UK fans.

It will be interesting to see how soon he's working out with teams and playing in some actual basketball practices/scrimmages.
