I see no evidence of an coherent plan by UK or its coach when it comes to building a roster for next year. We don't have a single top 100 rated recruit for next season, none, nada, zero. How does that even happens at a place like UK.

I think Pope had some good quotes and clips in his radio show last night. Reiterated continually about how we're not where we need to be by any means, but mentioned there has been progress. He has only had a full roster in 14% of his game here, by the way, and also has played a significantly higher strength of schedule than the previous 4 years - with a SLIGHTLY higher winning percentage. Also more wins in the SEC and NCAA than the previous years as well. I know that sounds a bit like excuses, but he's saying we aren't anywhere close yet.

I'll sleep well tonight after hearing this. I wasn't all that impressed with what Hart brought to the table. Like you, I heard he was this "great recruiter", but I didn't see it. Here's hoping that position is upgraded after this news.

Besides having UK ties, I still don't see what qualifications they really have. If they were top tier recruiters, they would have that role somewhere and be successful doing it.

Agree. I mentioned in a thread somewhere that alumni haven't really had much success at other places. Duke is really the only school that I think perpetuates this model.

Just like Hart was the reason we were a lock to get top ten recruit Jason Crowe Jr., well we saw how that worked out.

And it seems pretty clear Stokes is going to the highest bidder.

I don't know that we were going to get those guys to begin with. This roster rebuild for next season is going to be interesting, to say the least.

We won't know until it happens. But whoever is saying that is just throwing out negative speculation to make UK and Pope look bad with no substantiation.
