I think they’ll win their first game and then struggle in the 2nd rd with a potential 2 seed.

Regardless of what happens in the tournament assuming we make it, Pope will be back next year. As much as I have been frustrated and at times very critical of Pope this year, I am actually looking forward to how he responds next season, that will tell me everything I need to know about him as Coach at UK moving forward. We haven't won anything in so long what is another year??


Anyways, this awful season could be a blessing in disguise for Pope long term or the writing on the wall..

Recruiting concerns me and lack of but I assume the plan is hire the best free agents year in year out. Still need 5 star game changing freakazoids on the roster in my opinion...

I think this summer will show if he learned anything and is willing to adapt. Will he hire a gm, will he shake up the staff, will he tell some of these guys to look elsewhere, will he play the damn recruiting game? Those are areas I’m interested in.

Finding a way to land Stokes would go a long way in creating a little offseason excitement for BBN. As this moment, I don’t see much to be excited about on next season; hopefully that quickly changes .

I think seed, probably the top 7 seed. We had to win 2 to stay off the 8 line per the "experts". We did what we had to do and even though we played our 3rd in a row and was dead legged we mucked up the game enough to stay in the game.

I say they put us either in the East or West with Duke or Arizona being the Top Seed. Being a 7 seed it is more important to know your 2nd seeds right now. Right now it shows on bracketology Matrix that Uconn, Illinois, Mich St, Houston as the 2 seeds. Bet with BigZ at Illinois and our game last year, that is what we will see as the possible 2 seed.

Not to sound bitter because I'm not. I harbor no ill will toward either Cal or Travis but most likely Travis won't be playing in the Big Dance and Arky may not win any more games than we do.

I won’t be shocked if we get an 8-9 seed. We probably deserve it but a 7 possible a 6 is what I think we end up with.

I really wish and hope that you are right about Arkansas not winning more games than Kentucky.....but unfortunately, I think that's wishful thinking. Not only are they a better team, but I won't be surprised if we're one and done while we're hoping and praying that Cal doesn't advance past the Sweet Sixteen!

Most of the so called tv experts say 7 seed. Committee never does UK any favors. So I wouldn't be surprised at all if UK is a 8 in Duke's bracket.

Regardless 7 or 8. Round 2 matchup will definitely have a story line. So it will be Duke if UK is the 8.
If they are the 7 I am not sure what round 2 matvhup they would pick for UK. They know UK is a tv ratings darling.

He'll absolutely be back, but I can't say I'm looking forward to it. Oh well.....while the results in year 2 are similar to what Billy Gillespie brought us, there hasn't been anywhere near the off-the-court drama and embarrassment that Clyde brought us.

That said, I could do without the intelligence insulting excuses (i.e. - "fatigue", etc.) and commentary (i.e. - "I'd love to have this entire roster back next year). I think the "roster retention " may be the most insulting because that insinuates that either he doesn't recognize talent or he thinks that we don't. Either way, I'd like to see more of a mass exodus than full retention. There needs to be a serious upgrade in talent, something that the lack of a recruiting class for next year doesn't exactly instill a lot of confidence in.
