FT should not BANG in off the back of the rim. He needs to put a little air under the ball on his FT. He could easily shoot a higher percentage.
Last 11 games. Keep in mind that MANY of these were front end of 1&1. C'mon OWEH, lock in!

Unless I added incorrectly (59 for 83), that's 71.8%. While not outstanding, it's definitely acceptable. Would he make a few more if he had a bit more arch on the ball? I would certainly think so. A flat shot very rarely rattles around and goes in (not much touch in a flat shot). But, it's not like he's hitting < 60%. He does, however, tend to miss ones in crunch times or critical 1-and-1s, so a bit more arch might allow him to make one more of those a game, which could be a deciding point.
You need someone to get with every player in NCAA to be more consistent. Should be a routine. Kyle Macy type of thing.
But that will never happen as teams seem to make guys do this on their own. Maybe not every team but majority. All this analytics and free throws would be the easiest to show, form plan, practice and get better. They do that kind of stuff for fast release on coming off a screen and such.
But as far as Oweh he is average shooter in today's day and age of shooting Free Throws for a Guard / Forward type of guy. Small forward but that is how he plays.
There are other folks on the team who need better free throw shooting or 3 point shooting coaching other than Oweh. Without Oweh we wouldn't be going to the NCAA tournament. Seems really nit picky to single our best player out after numerous 20 point games.
