I know we dislike calling out certain players, but it's been a remarkable trend all year regarding CC's defense. It's the strangest thing for me, becuase he's definitely putting in the effort on defense. He works hard to move his feet and to contest shots. But for some COMPLETELY UNEXPLICABLE REASON, his man almost always finds a way to hit the toughest shot right in his grill. It's uncanny. I've never seen anything like it.

The other one I'd call out specifically is BG. He's the most athletically gifted poor defender I've ever seen. He should be blocking 3-4 shots per game.

Overall team defense is horrible because we let guys get into the paint and then fail to box them out when the shot goes up.

I know this sounds insane, but I have convinced myself the staff has told Garrison to not even try and jump to block shots. Over the past two years there has been various times he just stands there and watches guys lay it in or dunk.

It's incredible though. He DOES jump. And fouls pump fake shooters at a high clip.
