I retired last year but if I were still working. I would be losing my mind having to miss a lot of the game.
. I always took vacation days for Friday SEC Tournament and the following Thursday and Friday for NCAA tournament.
After a few years the boss would ask me in January when is the dates you need off work for basketball tournaments so I can go ahead a log the Vacation days.

Yes! I am always excited for a UK basketball game.

Not really to be honest. Still going to watch it feel like a program on probation in shambles.

No coach with a feel to the game who relies on analytics and wild sub patterns.

No recruits

Assistant coaches who are clueless and damn sure don't know what Kentucky basketball is all about, the biggest accomplishment they have is sitting on the UK bench as we speak.

If it's the KENTUCKY THEME, then be like Duke, use DUKE PEOPLE.

Again, Rondo, Ford, Pelphrey, Wall, many many others who know what it's all about, Pope can't do this KENTUCKY thing by himself, espcially not with NON KENTUCKY people.

Like i said in the other thread. We have a BUGATTI sitting outside in the driveway and we riding around town in a rusted 4 cylinder Chevette with no insurance and expired tags. Again, Not a Corvette but a CHEVETTE...

It's a complete cluster bomb, it sucks and I hate it to be honest. As bad as Calipari rubbed me the past few years, should have kept my mouth shut. Still felt better having NBA franchise players coming through Kentucky than this garbage we have now.... I am sick of and tired of waiting, Pope and the last few of the CAL era.

Bottomline, Kentucky is a nobody these days, a nobody. Nobody fears us, nobody talks about us. We are just a old brand that other teams will hype up to sell tickets and get viewership but besides that, NOBODY CARES ABOUT KENTUCKY EXCEPT US.

Duke, Carolina, Michigan, Michigan State, Florida, Houston, Arizona, Uconn, Louisville, BYU, many other programs have plenty of upside, feels like we are stuck in the mud...

I don't know that they have to be Kentucky people. Pitino and Cal didn't use Kentucky people. Cal had Ulis in the latter stages. But whoever is the coach, he needs to be able to get studs. Pope has had a hard time doing that. We need a coach that brings UK to the forefront and perpetuates a brand. You're right, right now there is no brand.

Agree with this. Staff should be the best you can get no matter if they have UK ties or not.
