I really don't believe he is itching to come back to the college game. I wouldn't be surprised if some lower NBA team offers him and he retires in the NBA.Comment

Why would we even want Donovan when we've got MARK POPE??? The very definition of mediocre! I mean, come on now....Billy Gillespie results without the drunken bar behavior chasing co-eds...makes for great forum chatter - some wanting him gone while others defend him. Disappointment can then turn into curiosity with some people taking bets on how much longer he can keep his job while others complain about another lost recruiting battle as he struggles to assemble a roster. We'll be talked about all over the college basketball landscape....why would we want Billy Donovan when we've got all that?👍 1👎 1Comment

Because Donovan is a 2x National Champion, 5th best Tournament Win Percentage, and after a decade in the NBA as a coach he now has the credentials for that level. I think recruits will be more open to see that resume and play for him vs Pope who has an extremely light resume in comparison, bizarre sub patterns which loses games/momentum in game and tries to blame "fatigue" when nobody is tired if you believe Jelavic. Why would we even want Donovan when we've got MARK POPE???
