Pope will get another year regardless.. if he wants to be old school and rep 96, every assistant every recruiter every everything best be ALL UK ALUMNI moving forward. If he's not smart enough to realize this then he GOTS TO GO LIKE NOW.

Vitale just said the quiet part out loud, put Pelphrey on the sidelines, use KENTUCKY resources and get this thing back on track once and for all. Give Travis Ford a role, get Rondo Wall Anderson, get our people back in our program the EXACT SAME WAY THAT DUKE DOES IT, PERIOD!!!!!!

My issue is that our team doesn't play good basketball. Especially on offense.

Then get a assistant that knows the game and will demand attention and respect,. RONDO..

Strickland did it for Cal, Rondo can do it for Pope...

What a rough season. 19-12, 10-8. 8th or 9th in SEC. Hard to see any type of March run. Year 3 better be a whole lot better. Program has dropped over the years.

As bad as it has been and with all the blown calls, still a respectable point loss for Vitale and Dykes all mighty Florida team, not sure what to make of that.

Pisses me off because I know Pope is giving his heart and soul with this thing. I sure hope he can get some UK people on the staff, folks that know the deal, the pain the struggle, all that goes with it. Pope is literally doing this on his own in many ways, I want UK alumni and people from our great program back in the program all working together to make us ELITE AGAIN. it has been way too long and we are irrelevant these days, we just sell tickets because it's still Kentucky, it's the brand not the team.....

Might not be any better but I would rather have Pelphrey over Mark Fox as a assistant any day.

I may be wrong. No big deal if I am. Won't be the first or the last time. But I still think Pope can coach. He needs more shooters to be successful. He put together a team from scratch at the last minute last year. Despite injuries and made the sweet 16. Won more games against ranked opponents than anyone. You don't achieve that if you aren't a good coach.

They were we weak defensively last year. So he went too far in the other direction building this team and forgot to get enough shooters. This is a pretty good defensive team. Numbers bear that out. But they lack shooters.
. He needs to do a much better job in the portal next year building a better rounded team.
if he doesn't then i doubt he gets a year 4 and he shouldn't.

It's frustrating to see this program in the shape It's been the last 5-6 years. Next year needs to be much different. Coach Pope really needs to step it up. There's no excuse for UK not having better talent. Better success. Better results.
