Mark Pope says Kam Williams will practice Thursday for Kentucky: 'He's dying to play.

Kam Williams ditched the scooter, then the boot to walk in sneakers after surgery to repair a broken foot back in late January. Then Mark Pope broke the news this week that the sophomore wing had started jogging while also taking part in an individual skill workout with the Kentucky staff, a sign the return-to-play ramp-up had officially begun.

The latest update may be the best yet, though, for fans hoping to see the versatile sharpshooter back on the floor for the Wildcats sooner rather than later.

Probably would take a little time to get in game shape
I'll be happy if he is full strength for the NCAA, ECSTATIC IF HE CAN GO NEXT WEEK IN THE SEC

He's certainly needed. I think he was becoming so much more comfortable before the injury.

Could be a major addition back into the mix. At the time of his injury, he was our best defensive stopper and consistent 3pt threat.

Hope he is good to go soon and can take some of Noah’s minutes. No offense to Noah, but Williams is a much better player overall.
