The new era is a double edge sword. Have a mediocre season fans have the pitchforks out ready to run you out of town, have a few good games the PRO vultures start swarming and filling your head full of crap...
As for Chandler, impressed how he has developed, it's been a pleasure to watch. Whether he's Rex Chapman or Jeff Sheppard 2. or 3.0 who knows but glad he's a Cat.
Classic case of addition by subtraction. This is a Enes Kanter Josh Harrellson situation unfolding before our eyes. Had Kanter been cleared, Harellson would have rotted on the bench. Had Lowe been healthy, more than likely Lowe would be the PG and Aberdeen would have been the main go too 2 guard. Chandler would have played but never would have been given the time to play through mistakes. The game has slowed down for Chandler and it shows....
Speaking of JQ. No doubt in my mind he can play now if he wanted but now that his father is out here challenging the fanbase to a fist fight, it's all about the money. Cut that check off and I bet he's out there playing.
I have been up down and all around this year on this team and Coach Pope. It is really hard to say what has gone on behind closed doors. Still hopeful Coach can survive this and have to give him credit for battling through this chaos this season, it has been exactly that.
As for our Kentucky team as of right now, starting to like this team. It's gritty old school but it keeps fighting through all the adversity, have to tip my cap to that. Obviously it hasn't been that perfect season just rolling through teams but since Pope committed to a starting 5, chemistry has developed. I see players out there playing for one another now, role's been accepted, Oweh picking his spots, Chandler hitting big shot after big shot, Moreno steadily getting better every game, AJ getting more comfortable, Aberdeen settling into his role.
Hell, don't shoot the messenger, starting to like this under dog back against the wall injury depleted Kentucky basketball team. They may lose every game here on out miss the tournament or lose 1st round who knows, still proud how they have stuck together....
